We were having a standing water in area next and around the side of our house. During certain downpours it could be up to 4 or 5 inches of standing water. We were worried about our foundation and possible water flooding in. We found Drain My Lawn by researching companies in the area. We were impressed by their reviews and reached out. We are so happy we did! Professional from start to finish. Super knowledgeable about what to do and an open book. Answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. We appreciated the project diagram to get a good idea about our project. Everyone that showed up to start the project are really great. They worked so hard and efficient throughout the day and made sure they kept me in the loop to what was going on. Once finished, educated us on how to manage and take care of everything. We have been through 11 inches of melting snow and a day of heavy rain. We look out the window and it is a relief to not see standing water there. We are very happy with the services provided to us by Drain My Lawn. Kenneth came to our home for the initial quote and created a detailed walkthrough video of our drainage needs, which helped us all be on the same page. He also included a project rendering that he updated as we changed the scope. We didn’t really know what our budget was, but Kenneth told us there were many ways to bring the price down depending on how efficient you wanted the systems to be and if you wanted to do anything yourself. Typically, all you hope is that whomever you hire does the job you asked for well, but it's always an added benefit when they are also friendly and personable. That defines this team. Nick came out to our house today for a consult. My husband and I were certain we had a drainage issue in our yard. To our surprise, it was not a drainage issue at all! Drain My Lawn did a fantastic job in evaluating my problems, and determining the correct solution. Kenneth did my assessment and provided a very detailed video and drawing to explain the installation of my french drain. It has rained a LOT since installation, and there have been no more issues with water pooling in my front yard. Drain My Lawn did just that for us! They are a remarkable business overall and a model for how people ought to be doing work. The process started with a detailed assessment of our drainage issues and a clear video detailing what work would be done. The system they proposed and then put in place was terrific---well thought out in order to keep water away from the house (and all kinds of extra things I would not have thought about). They were always prompt and courteous. They did not overcharge but offered a fair and reasonable price for the work. The crew who did the labor were amazing--some of the hardest working folks I've seen in awhile. They were meticulous and a delight to have on our yard for a near week of labor. Nick was incredibly helpful. He provided us an estimate and listened to our concern on cost (he was in line with other estimates we received, but higher than we wanted to pay at the time). The water was splashing up against our foundation, and we hired Drain My Lawn to divert the water away from our foundation. Nick and his team installed an underground pipe which leads to a pop-up emitter approximately 5 feet away from our foundation. This ended up being a very cost effective solution to ensure our foundation is protected from a high volume of splashing and pooling water. I will echo the good reviews that have been posted so far for these guys. I really like the communication and prompt response I received. I submitted a request for appointment/call on Saturday and have already met with them by Monday evening. Nick came to my home and looked at the issue I'm having with mild erosion in my side yard. It's not a major issue but is large enough that I wanted to get a professional opinion on how to fix it. He could have easily sold me on a costly overkill solution but that didn't happen. Instead, Nick explained what was really causing the erosion and identified a few options that would help. Ultimately the solution won't require their services, but I will gladly recommend them to others and call on them if I have other issues in the future. See more See less

We bought a new house and after the very first rain it was clear we had a serious drainage problem which caused several thousand gallons of water to collect in the backyard (and took DAYS to drain), and the water got dangerously close to the crawl space. Nick came out and confirmed the problem, did a thorough assessment, and completed the job while we were on vacation. We returned home a few days after the work was completed, on the morning after a big downpour and the backyard was bone dry. I was slated to install my driveway with-in two weeks time. However, there was an unforseen problem....Installing the driveway will block the the path of water drainage. There will be a very large holding cell of water that will sit against my house foundation and surround my deck posts and entry unto the deck. Great service! Nick came out and inspected my issue with poor drainage in my front yard near my front steps. He proposed his plan for a drain to me and gave me a very reasonable quote for the work. I agreed to the work and we called the city to have the yard marked to do the work. The city was slow to respond and Nick stepped in and escalated with the city and got that taken care of. Can't say enough about the folks at Drain My Lawn.. I had them replace two driveaway culverts, install a new one in a second driveway and do some drainage related grading on my property and was very pleased!.. When my son bought his first home recently... We had Drain My Lawn come out and look at a situation caused by the previous owner.. They installed new drainage lines and a catch basin and graded and seeded the area afterwards... Now it looks like they were never there. Had a downpour a day or two after they finished the work and the new drainage system worked flawlessly!!! I really like Nick's business model and how he pours into the staff and give them opportunities to be part of the business. Everyone is very responsive and respectful. When Nick came out to both properties, he not only listened to our concerns, but spent time taking measurements and video of the area. As part of his estimate he provided a short video describing the proposed solution and work to be done.. If you have any drainage related issues you need to call Drain My Lawn.. I will definitely be using them in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for drainage improvements and repairs.. See more See less
Nick came out to diagnose my drainage issues, provided great documentation and came back again when we had more questions and potential problem areas before pulling the trigger. When we suggested to rip and replace an additional drain, Nick said while he could, it wouldn’t be cost effective and wouldn’t lead to a better outcome. That kind of honesty is refreshing, appreciated and unfortunately, somewhat rare. Trust trumps everything and Nick is trustworthy in how he runs his business. After placing a small deposit to get scheduled, the team actually started the work a week before they said they could. Nicks team was respectful of my property and expeditious in their work. Any issues were quickly addressed and I was never left waiting for a response. Highly communicative before, during and after the job. I’ve waited months for a large rain event to write this review and suffice it say, the drain system is working beautifully and as promised. See more See less
I contacted Nick when I was having issues with water flooding into my home. I was very impressed with his knowledge and the detailed job he did assessing the issue. His recommended solution ended up being something that required repair by the DOT, but he did not try and push any other solutions on me. It was because of Nick that I was able to finally figure out what needed to be done after many others had offered no help. Now that the work has been completed by the DOT, I will be contacting Nick again to help with a separate drainage issue at my home and I recommend him to anyone with drainage issues.
